Role Summary

The Legal Officer will provide legal and regulatory support to the organization, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry requirements. The role involves contract management, legal advisory services, and risk mitigation support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
  • Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Support the management of legal risks and corporate governance initiatives.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies where necessary.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and reports.
  • Support dispute resolution and litigation management processes.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of legal records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB).
  • Qualification to practice law or relevant legal certification will be an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of legal or compliance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and financial services law.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
