Job Description
About Us
The Law Institute (TLI) is a vocational legal training institution in Ghana focused on bridging the gap between academic legal education and practical application. Founded by experienced legal practitioners, TLI delivers industry-relevant training in compliance, governance, paralegal studies, and legal administration. Through practical, accessible, and flexible programs, TLI equips professionals across the public and private sectors with the legal knowledge and skills needed to operate confidently, ethically, and effectively in today’s complex regulatory environment.
Job Description
TLI is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented National Service Person to support the Administration and Finance function.
The role covers record keeping, light bookkeeping and finance support, and general administrative tasks that keep TLI’s
day-to-day operations running smoothly.
•Support light bookkeeping tasks, including data entry into TLI’s finance and expenditure tracker, filing receipts and
invoices, and reconciling simple transactions.
•Assist with tracking payments, fee collections, and outstanding balances, and flag discrepancies to the finance
lead.
•Provide general administrative support, including scheduling, correspondence, filing, and preparing routine
documents.
•Support the coordination of cohort logistics — attendance records, materials distribution, and student enquiries.
•Help prepare simple reports and summaries from records and financial data as needed.
•Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in handling student, staff, and financial information.
•Perform other administrative or finance-support duties as assigned by the Director of Learning and Strategy.
Requirements
•A recognized first degree; a background in Business Administration, Law, Accounting, or Finance is preferred, but
graduates of any discipline are welcome to apply.
•Eligible for National Service Scheme (NSS) posting for the relevant service year.
•Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and records.
•Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets; familiarity with basic bookkeeping is an advantage.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
•Organised, trustworthy, and able to handle sensitive information with discretion.
•Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
Benefits
•A structured, hands-on introduction to institutional administration and finance.
•Mentorship and exposure to TLI’s compliance and governance training programs.
•Free access to all TLI courses for the duration of the service period.
•A collaborative, growth-oriented team environment.
