Job Summary
The Document Controller will oversee the organization, formatting, management, and control of project documentation to support ship maintenance and refurbishment operations in a busy shipyard environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize technical, quality, and project documentation
- Manage document control processes for ongoing vessel refurbishment projects
- Implement and maintain version control for project records
- Prepare and submit project documentation packages to clients and management
- Support the management of quality records and compliance documentation
- Ensure proper archiving, retrieval, and accessibility of documents
- Conduct regular document audits to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Collaborate with project teams to update and distribute required documentation
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years’ experience in document control or administrative support, preferably within ship repair, marine, or industrial projects
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint
- Strong organizational and document management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Professional proficiency in English is required
