Job Description

BG Furnishings is seeking an experienced and professional Chinese Translator to support communication between Chinese management/staff and local employees, clients, and stakeholders at our Tema factory.

Position: Chinese Translator
Location: Tema
Salary: GH₵4,000 – GH₵7,000 Gross (Based on Experience)
Benefits: Accommodation + GH₵500 Monthly Allowance

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating spoken and written communication from Chinese to English/local languages and vice versa. The role requires excellent communication skills, cultural understanding, and the ability to support smooth day-to-day operations within the factory environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate conversations, meetings, and instructions between Chinese staff and local employees.
  • Interpret verbal and written communication accurately and professionally.
  • Assist with translating operational documents, reports, manuals, and emails.
  • Support management during meetings, training sessions, and factory activities.
  • Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in all communications.
  • Bridge communication gaps to enhance collaboration and productivity.

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a Chinese Translator or Interpreter.
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Good interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
