General Manager (Garment Manufacturing)

Job Description

Salary Budget: GHS 10,000–15,000
Location: Tema

Our client, a growing garment manufacturing company located within the Tema Free Zones enclave, is seeking a transformational General Manager to lead strategic growth, strengthen operations, and drive commercial performance.
This role requires a hands-on, highly experienced manufacturing leader with deep expertise in garment, apparel, textile, or related production environments.
Applicants must currently reside in Tema or its immediate environs.

🔹 Role Overview
The General Manager will provide strategic, commercial, and operational leadership across the business—driving growth, improving efficiency, strengthening governance, and expanding market opportunities locally and internationally.

🔹 Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Entrepreneurship, or related field (MBA is an advantage)
Minimum 6 years’ progressive management experience in garment, apparel, textile, or related manufacturing
Proven experience in business turnaround, operational restructuring, and scaling production
Strong track record in securing contracts, partnerships, funding, or market expansion
Deep understanding of manufacturing systems, production planning, quality control, and supply chain optimization
Strong financial management and performance monitoring capabilities

Business Growth & Strategy
Develop and execute strategies to increase revenue, profitability, and market share
Identify and pursue opportunities across local, regional, and international markets
Build scalable systems and performance frameworks for long-term growth
Investment, Partnerships & Funding
Lead initiatives to secure investment, funding, and strategic partnerships
Develop compelling proposals and investor presentations
Strengthen financial discipline, reporting, and governance
Operations & Leadership
Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations: planning, sourcing, production, QA, and delivery
Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams
Drive operational excellence, efficiency, cost control, and continuous improvement
Build a performance-driven culture focused on accountability
Market Development & Branding
Strengthen sales, marketing, and customer acquisition strategies
Build and sustain relationships with clients, distributors, suppliers, and key stakeholders
Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory standards, and industry best practices
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cost optimization, and performance tracking

🔹 Salary Range
GHS 10,000 – 15,000 net (based on experience and performance track record)
