Workplace Experience Learning (WEL) Coordinator – DTI

Job Description

DTI is seeking a Workplace Experience Learning (WEL) Coordinator to build strong industry partnerships and connect learners with meaningful workplace learning, employment, and apprenticeship opportunities.

𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
• Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and industry partners to facilitate workplace learning opportunities
• Coordinate WEL placements and facilitate effective engagement between learners, employers, and DTI
• Engage employers to identify workplace learning, apprenticeship, and employment opportunities
• Integrate industry needs and feedback into learner development and workplace learning activities
• Monitor placement outcomes, maintain accurate records, and support reporting on WEL activities
• Identify opportunities to strengthen pathways from training to employment and entrepreneurship
• Collaborate with academic and student services teams to support learners’ transition into the workplace

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
• Bachelor’s Degree or strong academic background in Engineering, Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field. A Master’s Degree is an advantage
• Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in B2B sales, account management, business development, or industry relations
• Experience within technical, manufacturing, TVET, or applied learning environments is preferred
• Strong relationship management, project coordination, communication, and data analysis skills
• Ability to manage employer partnerships, monitor placement outcomes, and identify employment opportunities
• Ability to work effectively with academic teams, student services, employers, and other stakeholders
