Job Description

Purpose of the Job
To develop and implement learning and talent development strategies across all member companies of GLICO to build a high-performance culture that enhances employee capability, productivity, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities
Learning & Development
• Develop and implement the Group’s learning and talent development strategy.
• Collaborate with business leaders and HR Business Partners to conduct annual learning and development needs assessments.
• Design and implement training and development plans aligned with business objectives.
• Develop learning and development programmes to enhance employee capabilities across the Group.
• Lead the sourcing and management of learning and talent development providers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
• Train and coach managers, supervisors, and other stakeholders involved in employee development.
• Plan, organise, facilitate, and evaluate learning and development initiatives across all levels of the organisation.
• Develop and maintain internal communication channels, including newsletters and notice boards, to promote learning opportunities and resources.
• Conduct post-training evaluations to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee the implementation of the Group’s Performance Management Framework.
• Deliver all learning and talent development initiatives within the approved budget.

Onboarding
• Manage the onboarding process for all new employees.
• Coordinate onboarding programmes for employees transitioning into leadership roles.

Talent Management
• Partner with HR Business Partners to identify and categorise employees based on performance and potential.
• Support the Group Head of HR in succession planning and talent management initiatives.

Performance Management
• Collaborate effectively with the HR team and management to support the successful implementation of performance management processes.

Communication & Working Relationships
Internal: Group Heads, HR Business Partners, Line Managers, and all employees.
External: Training providers, consultants, and other external partners.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with HR processes, KPIs, and performance management systems.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong influencing, organisational, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Demonstrates curiosity, a commitment to continuous learning, and openness to feedback.
• Proven leadership ability with the capacity to motivate, engage, and develop employees.
