Job Description
Location: Private Family Residence (Greater Accra)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: 5 Days per Week | 8 Hours per Day
Salary: GHS 2,700 – GHS 3,500 per month (based on experience and qualifications)Shape a Child’s Earliest Years
Some of the most meaningful learning happens long before a child enters a classroom.
IRAGO is recruiting on behalf of a private family seeking a compassionate, creative, and experienced Montessori-Inspired Early Childhood Educator to guide the growth and development of their preschool-aged child in a nurturing home environment.
This is not a traditional classroom teaching position, and it is not a nanny role.
It is an opportunity to become a trusted learning guide—someone who can foster curiosity, independence, confidence, creativity, emotional intelligence, and a lifelong love of learning through thoughtful, play-based experiences inspired by Montessori principles.
The family is looking for someone who understands that young children learn best through exploration, movement, conversation, creativity, and meaningful real-life experiences rather than rigid instruction or excessive worksheets.
If you believe children learn best by asking questions, making discoveries, solving problems, and engaging with the world around them, we’d love to hear from you.About the Role
As the Montessori-Inspired Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating a balanced daily routine that combines intentional learning with child-led exploration, creative play, practical life activities, outdoor experiences, reading, movement, and rest.
Approximately three hours of each day will involve thoughtfully planned educational activities tailored to the child’s developmental stage. The remainder of the day should encourage exploration, imagination, social interaction, independence, creativity, and joyful learning through everyday experiences.
Your role extends far beyond teaching letters and numbers. You will help nurture the child’s emotional wellbeing, communication skills, confidence, problem-solving abilities, independence, and natural curiosity during one of the most important stages of development.Key Responsibilities
