Job Description

Main Duties

  • Lead and coordinate field operations relating to farmer mobilization, onboarding, profiling, commodity sourcing support, and community engagement activities.
  • Supervise, train, and manage Community Engagement Officers and field teams to ensure high performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Monitor field activities and ensure compliance with operational procedures, quality assurance standards, and digital data collection protocols.
  • Validate farmer and aggregator records and ensure accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting of all digital operational data.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Business Development, Finance, and Logistics teams in planning and executing agricultural projects and community-based interventions.
  • Develop field execution plans, schedules, operational timelines, and resource requirements for field activities and projects.
  • Monitor project performance and ensure deliverables are achieved within approved timelines and quality standards.
  • Coordinate operational logistics, equipment delivery schedules, and field resources required for successful execution of field activities.
  • Represent the company during community engagements, stakeholder meetings, farmer sensitization programs, and project implementation activities.
  • Investigate and resolve operational concerns, complaints, and grievances raised by field staff, partner farmer groups, and operational stakeholders.

Qualification/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics, Rural Development, Development Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in community engagement, agricultural operations, agribusiness project management, commodity sourcing, or rural development programs.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience managing field teams and coordinating community-based agricultural operations.
  • Experience working with smallholder farmers and rural communities within Northern Ghana.
  • Experience managing digital field operations and digital data collection systems.
  • Strong knowledge of the agricultural value chain within Northern Ghana.
  • Strong understanding of commodity sourcing operations and smallholder farmer and aggregator engagement practices.
  • Understanding of quality assurance processes and operational compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and digital reporting tools. – Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure within rural operational environments.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across operational communities within Northern Ghana.
