Job Summary
Eusbett Hotel is seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and service-oriented IT Officer / Systems Administrator to oversee and support the hotel’s IT infrastructure, systems operations, cybersecurity, and technology support services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all technology systems, including networking infrastructure, servers, hospitality software systems, surveillance systems, and end-user support while maintaining high standards of security, compliance, and operational efficiency.
This role requires a technically competent professional with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure & Systems Management
- Oversee the smooth operation and maintenance of all hotel IT systems and infrastructure
- Manage and coordinate vendors supporting:
- Guest Internet Services
- Property Management Systems (PMS)
- Point of Sale (POS) Systems
- IPTV Systems
- Telephony Systems
- Other hospitality software applications
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot:
- Servers and workstations
- Networking equipment
- CCTV surveillance systems
- Cable/IP TV systems
- PABX systems
- Email accounts and desktop infrastructure
Network & Security Administration
- Monitor and maintain WAN/LAN networks, wireless infrastructure, firewalls, VPN applications, domain controllers, and Active Directory systems
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and Data Protection regulations
- Manage anti-virus systems and cybersecurity measures
- Conduct regular system backups and manage disaster recovery processes
- Maintain system performance monitoring and error log reporting systems
- Ensure PCI compliance policies and procedures are updated and implemented
Technical Support & Preventive Maintenance
- Provide timely support to hotel staff and users on hardware and software issues
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for technical incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all IT hardware and software
- Maintain accurate inventory records for hardware assets and software licenses
- Keep updated with emerging hospitality technologies and cybersecurity threats
Policy Development & Team Coordination
- Develop IT policies, procedures, and operational guidelines
- Support management in planning and implementing new IT initiatives and projects
- Assign tasks, supervise, and coordinate IT support activities where required
- Conduct regular staff awareness and training on IT security and system usage
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft, Cisco, Networking, or Cybersecurity certifications will be an added advantage
- Strong technical knowledge of:
- Microsoft Operating Systems
- Database Management
- Cybersecurity principles
- Networking and infrastructure management
- Experience within the hospitality industry will be an advantage
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Knowledge of:
- CAT5/6 cabling
- Wireless networking
- Network switches
- Active Directory
- CCTV systems
- VPN applications
- IP/Cable TV systems
- Card Access Control systems
- Familiarity with system profiling and monitoring tools such as iostat and Nagios
- Good understanding of highly available systems and image management systems
