Job Summary

The Transport Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company’s transportation and fleet operations to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective movement of goods. The role requires strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills to optimize vehicle utilization, improve delivery performance, and maintain compliance with transport regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all transportation and fleet operations.
• Develop transport schedules and delivery plans to ensure timely distribution.
• Monitor fleet utilization, fuel consumption, and vehicle performance.
• Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and serviced according to schedule.
• Supervise transport personnel, including drivers and support staff.
• Implement transport policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Investigate transport-related incidents and implement corrective measures.
• Monitor transportation costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
• Prepare transport performance reports and operational updates for management.

Qualifications & Experience

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (5) years’ experience in transport, logistics, or fleet management.
• Strong knowledge of fleet management systems and transportation operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
