Position Summary
The Supply Chain Officer will manage procurement, inventory control, and logistics operations within the Trading & Supply Division. The role requires a strong background in supply chain management and finance to ensure efficient flow of goods, accurate record-keeping, cost control, and overall operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials, equipment, and goods
- Prepare purchase orders and negotiate favorable pricing and terms
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain effective vendor relationships
- Ensure timely procurement to meet operational requirements
Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations
- Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders
- Implement inventory optimization strategies to minimize costs
- Oversee warehouse operations and ensure proper storage practices
Financial Management
- Track procurement costs and prepare budget reports
- Process invoices and verify pricing accuracy
- Maintain financial records of all supply chain transactions
- Conduct cost analysis and identify savings opportunities
- Reconcile inventory balances with accounting records
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers and customers
- Arrange transportation and ensure timely distribution
- Track shipments and resolve delivery issues
- Manage import/export documentation where applicable
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare periodic supply chain performance reports
- Maintain accurate procurement and inventory documentation
- Generate monthly stock reports and analysis
- Track key supply chain KPIs and recommend improvements
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics operations
- Strong finance or accounting background with hands-on inventory management experience
- Experience using ERP systems or inventory management software

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems
