Job Description
To oversee the receipt, storage, issuance, and proper accounting of all inventory items in
line with company policy and international best practices. The role ensures optimal stock
levels, efficient inventory management, and supports the operations of Dredge Masters
Limited by maintaining timely availability of materials and supplies.
REPORT TO: Finance Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inventory Management and Control
Manage and monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.
Ensure accuracy of inventory records through regular updates and reconciliations.
UseERP systems to track stock movements and generate reports. - Stock Receipt and Issuance
Supervise the receipt and physical inspection of goods and materials.
Ensure all incoming items are properly documented and meet quality standards.
Oversee timely and accurate issuance of stock based on approved requisitions. - Records and Documentation
Maintain comprehensive records of stock receipts, issuance, adjustments, and
returns.
Ensure records are audit-ready and compliant with company policies and ISO
requirements. - Periodic Stock Audits
Coordinate and conduct periodic and annual stock counts.
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and report findings to
management.

Work with procurement and operations teams to ensure timely replenishment of
stock.
Liaise with suppliers on delivery timelines, returns, or quality issues. - Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure adherence to internal controls and safety procedures in all stores
operations.
Identify risks related to inventory management and implement mitigating actions.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
ABachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a
related field.
Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in inventory and stores
management, preferably in a marine, construction, or heavy industry
environment.
Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
Professional certification in Supply Chain or Inventory Management (e.g., CIPS,
CSCP) is an advantage.
Strong understanding of inventory control procedures, stock analysis, and
warehouse safety practices.
