Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and maintaining financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
- Conduct cost analysis and apply value engineering techniques to optimize project costs
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure strict adherence to budgets
- Prepare tender documentation, evaluate bids, and support procurement processes
- Manage contracts, including variations and claims
- Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress and cost implications
- Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure project success
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 2–5 years’ relevant experience in construction cost management
- Strong understanding of construction methods and materials
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Excel
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Effective communication and reporting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification or membership with a recognized professional body
- Experience working on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with contract administration and procurement processes
