Job Description
Job Purpose
To ensure that all products meet the highest quality and food safety standards before distribution. The role is responsible for implementing robust quality control measures, driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining effective communication channels to ensure customer satisfaction while minimizing risks associated with quality deviations.
Your Responsibilities
Quality Control across all phases of production
- Oversee sampling, inspection, and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality and product specifications.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, customer requirements, and certification schemes, including FSSC 22000, Fairtrade, and Organic.
- Prepare, verify, and submit Certificates of Analysis for all shipped products promptly.
- Validate shelf-life studies and support product development processes to ensure quality and compliance.
- Identify, investigate, document, and report non-conformities; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct internal and supplier audits to maintain certification and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, test results, non-conformities, and audit findings.
- Monitor and report on quality performance trends; provide regular updates to the Quality Manager.
- Train, supervise, and coordinate Quality Analysts, including scheduling team coverage across production shifts.
- Conduct GMP and food safety inductions for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and reliability of laboratory and testing equipment.
- Oversee sanitation, hygiene compliance, cleaning effectiveness, and pest control activities, including documentation.
- Verify food safety and quality documentation in the absence of the Quality Manager.

What Qualifications you bring
Experience in food safety systems.
Educational Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biological Sciences or a related field.
Work Experience
Minimum of 4–5 years’ experience in quality control/assurance within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
Career Excellence
Hands-on experience with food safety systems and certification standards.
Certifications
Relevant certifications in Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), HACCP or Quality Management Systems.

Technical Competency
