We are seeking a passionate and experienced Project Lead to oversee field operations, coordinate community engagement activities, and provide strategic leadership for agricultural development initiatives within cocoa-growing communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of community-based agricultural projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise Project Officers and field activities across assigned operational areas.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with farmer cooperatives, community leaders, and key stakeholders.
  • Support the development of sustainable cocoa farming practices and cooperative strengthening initiatives.
  • Ensure project goals, timelines, and deliverables are achieved effectively.
  • Monitor project performance and prepare periodic reports, updates, and impact assessments.
  • Facilitate farmer training sessions, workshops, and community meetings.
  • Identify operational challenges and develop practical solutions to improve project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and safety standards.
  • Represent SafeCrop professionally within assigned communities and stakeholder engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience managing agricultural or community development projects.
  • Strong understanding of cocoa farming systems and cooperative development is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work closely with rural farming communities with empathy and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to live and work within assigned communities in Assin Fosu or Tepa.
