The successful candidate will provide administrative support while assisting with key accounting and financial operations.
Position Overview
The Personal Assistant & Assistant Accountant will play a dual role, providing executive administrative support and assisting with financial recordkeeping, reporting, and accounting operations. The ideal candidate must possess strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Assistant Functions
- Manage executive schedules, appointments, and daily calendars.
- Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and official engagements.
- Handle emails, phone calls, correspondence, and communications professionally.
- Organize and maintain office records, documents, and filing systems.
- Prepare reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and other administrative documents.
- Support day-to-day administrative operations and office management activities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of management.
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
Assistant Accountant Functions
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
- Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
- Maintain proper records of expenses, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial records regularly.
- Assist with payroll administration and related financial processes.
- Support the preparation of financial reports and management accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Provide administrative support to the finance department as required.
Requirements
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Administration, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant professional experience as a Personal Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Assistant Accountant, or similar role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and perform effectively under pressure.
- A proactive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
