Role Summary

The People & Culture Lead will champion Bandwidth Globals mission to become the number one place to work in Africa.
This role goes beyond traditional HR it focuses on building a strong, values-driven culture, attracting top talent, and ensuring that every employee thrives.
The ideal candidate is a modern, solutions-oriented HR professional who can blend strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Key Objectives

  • Culture Architect: Shape, nurture, and scale an organizational culture that drives performance, inclusion, and pride.
  • Talent Magnet: Design recruitment strategies to attract the best talent across the continent and globally.
  • People Experience Leader: Build employee journeys that enrich lives, encourage growth, and increase retention.
  • Strategic Partner: Align people strategies with business goals while safeguarding the companys interests and values.

Key Responsibilities

Culture & People Experience

  • Define and embed Bandwidth Globals core values, ensuring they are lived out daily.
  • Launch culture-building initiatives (e.g. onboarding experiences, recognition programs, leadership rituals).
  • Monitor employee engagement and create strategies to maintain a high-performance, high-trust environment.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives across all offices and teams.

Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding

  • Develop creative, high-impact recruiting strategies to attract top performers across Africa and beyond.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment sourcing, interviews, assessments, and offers for critical roles.
  • Strengthen Bandwidth Globals employer brand, positioning it as a top destination for talent.
  • Build talent pipelines and modern candidate experiences using digital tools and data.

Policy, Compliance & Safeguarding

  • Draft and implement clear, fair, and progressive HR policies that protect both people and company interests.
  • Stay updated on labor laws and best practices across different African jurisdictions.
  • Create scalable systems for conflict resolution, employee relations, and compliance.

Strategic HR & Leadership Support

  • Advise leadership on organizational design, team structures, and talent strategies.
  • Provide insight on compensation, benefits, and recognition to keep Bandwidth competitive.
  • Partner with managers to develop leadership capabilities and healthy team dynamics.
  • Use data and insights to shape strategic HR decisions and measure impact.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4-7 years of progressive HR/People experience, including recruiting and culture-building.
  • Strong track record in recruitment and employer branding.
  • Experience drafting policies and implementing people programs in fast-growing organizations.
  • Exposure to multinational or multi-country operations in Africa is a plus.
  • Proficiency in modern HR systems, ATS, and digital collaboration tools.
