Job Summary

HealthTech Ghana Limited is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and results-oriented Medical Representative to join our growing commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the company’s pharmaceutical products, increasing product awareness among healthcare professionals, and driving sales growth across assigned territories in Ghana.

The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare stakeholders while identifying new business opportunities and ensuring the achievement of sales targets. This role requires excellent communication skills, product knowledge, and a passion for delivering value to healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

Product Promotion & Sales

  • Promote and market the company’s pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, clinics, and other medical institutions.
  • Conduct product presentations, detailing sessions, and educational meetings to increase product awareness and adoption.
  • Execute strategic sales activities to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Develop and implement territory sales plans to maximize market penetration.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers.
  • Provide professional product information and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Ensure excellent customer service while maintaining regular client engagement.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate product solutions.

Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and expand the company’s customer base.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Develop strategies for acquiring new clients while retaining existing customers.
  • Support product launches and promotional campaigns.

Territory Management

  • Plan and organize daily field visits to healthcare facilities.
  • Maintain an updated database of customers and sales activities.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, customer feedback reports, and market intelligence updates.
  • Ensure proper coverage of assigned territories.

Compliance & Professional Standards

  • Ensure all promotional activities comply with pharmaceutical industry regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain ethical business practices in all customer engagements.
  • Participate in product training sessions and continuous professional development activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Nursing, Biochemistry, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or medical representation.
  • Previous experience working with hospitals, pharmacies, clinics, or healthcare providers is an added advantage.
  • Valid driver’s license is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned territories.
