Position Overview

AI Energy Group is seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and detail-oriented IT Specialist to manage, maintain, and continuously improve the organization’s IT infrastructure and digital systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring system security, managing Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, supporting end-users, maintaining internal knowledge systems, and driving technology improvements across the organization.

This role requires a strong technical professional with expertise in systems administration, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, endpoint management, and digital collaboration platforms. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently while supporting business operations through reliable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure & Systems Administration

  • Manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, devices, and technology systems.
  • Ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability of all IT systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Monitor system performance and implement preventive maintenance measures.
  • Support users with day-to-day IT challenges and technical inquiries.

2. Cybersecurity & Security Administration

Security Enhancements

  • Monitor and implement security improvements to protect organizational systems against cyber threats.
  • Stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
  • Recommend and deploy security solutions that strengthen the organization’s security posture.

Email & Identity Management

  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
  • Create, manage, and maintain user accounts and access permissions.
  • Assign licenses and manage security groups.
  • Configure and maintain initial user settings and permissions.
  • Disable or remove user access promptly when employees leave the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with access control and identity management policies.

Conditional Access & Security Policies

  • Review and optimize Conditional Access policies.
  • Balance security requirements with user productivity and accessibility.
  • Implement security controls based on business needs and risk assessments.

3. Security Monitoring & Compliance

  • Monitor antivirus solutions and respond to security incidents.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve security-related issues.
  • Monitor Windows security updates and deploy patches when required.
  • Ensure endpoint devices comply with organizational security standards.
  • Monitor device compliance and address vulnerabilities promptly.
  • Conduct periodic security audits and risk assessments.

4. Microsoft 365 & Cloud Platform Administration

  • Manage Microsoft 365 services including:
    • Entra ID
    • Intune
    • SharePoint Online
    • OneDrive for Business
    • Exchange Online
    • Microsoft Teams
    • Microsoft Purview
  • Support cloud-based collaboration and productivity solutions.
  • Manage cloud security configurations and governance controls.
  • Optimize Microsoft 365 usage across the organization.

Microsoft Azure Administration

  • Support Azure cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Manage cloud resources, access controls, and security configurations.
  • Assist with cloud migration, deployment, and optimization initiatives.

5. Endpoint & Device Management

  • Manage Windows 10/11 devices across the organization.
  • Configure and deploy endpoint policies using Microsoft Intune.
  • Monitor endpoint health and compliance.
  • Manage software installations, updates, and device configurations.
  • Ensure all organizational devices remain secure and up to date.

6. Intranet & Document Management

Intranet Administration

  • Manage and maintain the company’s intranet platform.
  • Ensure content remains accurate, relevant, and accessible.

Document Repository Management

  • Support the management of shared drives and document repositories.
  • Implement appropriate controls for document security and accessibility.
  • Ensure proper organization, storage, and governance of company documents.

Knowledge Base Development

  • Contribute to the organization’s internal knowledge management system.
  • Create and update documentation for:
    • Common IT issues
    • Standard operating procedures
    • Troubleshooting guides
    • Best practices
    • User support materials

7. System Upgrades & Technology Improvements

  • Perform Windows operating system upgrades.
  • Manage driver and software updates across organizational devices.
  • Upgrade legacy systems to supported versions.
  • Ensure technology environments remain current, secure, and efficient.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and technology improvements.
  • Recommend innovative solutions to enhance business productivity.

8. Digital Media & Content Support

  • Create digital advertorials and promotional materials.
  • Design graphics for internal and external communications.
  • Support content creation initiatives.
  • Assist with social media management activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams on digital campaigns.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in:

Experience

  • Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in:
    • IT Support
    • Systems Administration
    • Infrastructure Management
    • Microsoft 365 Administration
    • Cloud Services Management

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Experience supporting medium-to-large organizational IT environments.

Professional Certifications (Advantageous)

Candidates with any of the following certifications will have an added advantage:

The IT Specialist may be evaluated based on:
