Job Description

Education, Qualification and Experience
· Degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent
· Minimum five (5) years of working experience in any similar setting
· An Affiliate member of a professional body is an added advantage

 Skills
· Ability to resolve conflicts and maintain disciplinary processes within the organization.
· Knowledge of employees’ safety and health laws abd labour law.
· Proficient in Microsoft applications.
· Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

HR Operations & Administration
· Serve as the primary HR contact for the assigned manufacturing unit
· Manage day-to-day HR operations including attendance, leave, overtime, and shift-related issues
· Coordinate payroll inputs (attendance, overtime, deductions) with Head Office HR/Finance
Workforce Management & Manpower Control
· Support unit manpower planning in line with production requirements
· Monitor headcount, absenteeism, attrition, and labour deployment
· Liaise with outsourced labour agencies on attendance, replacements, and discipline
 Attendance, Time & Overtime Control
· Enforce adherence to work hours, biometric clocking, and overtime policies
· Review biometric attendance reports daily and flag exceptions
· Ensure overtime is pre-approved and supported by system records


Employee Relations & Discipline
· Handle grievances, complaints, and employee concerns at unit level
· Support supervisors in managing discipline in line with company policy


Compliance & Labour Governance
· Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory requirements, and company policies
· Support labour inspections, audits, and regulatory visits
· Maintain readiness for internal and external audits (labour, food safety people-related requirements)


Training & Development
· Coordinate onboarding and induction for new hires at the unit
· Support implementation of operator, safety, leadership, and compliance training


Performance Management Support
· Support supervisors and managers in implementing performance management processes
· Track performance issues, improvement plans, and confirmations


Employee Engagement & Welfare
· Implement employee engagement initiatives at unit level (recognition, town halls, toolbox talks)
· Act as a communication bridge between management and employees


Health, Safety & Conduct (People Aspect)
· Partner with HSE and Production to promote a safety-first culture
· Support incident investigations from a people, conduct, and disciplinary perspective
· Reinforce compliance with PPE usage, SOPs, and workplace conduct standards
