Our client is AAK, a leading international manufacturer specializing in plant-based oils and specialty fats. They mainly source shea across multiple countries in West Africa and export to Europe for the development of high-value, sustainable ingredient solutions for the food, bakery, chocolate & confectionery, and personal care industries.
About the Role:
You will take ownership of developing and promoting a strong health & safety culture across the region, working closely with operational teams and leadership.
Location: Benin or Ghana
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Implementing and improving H&S policies, procedures, and programs
- Driving reporting improvements and root cause analysis
- Supporting operations with risk assessments and safety practices
- Delivering H&S training (internal teams and external partners)
- Conducting audits, inspections, and incident investigations
- Identifying risks and continuously improving safety performance
What We’re Looking For:
- Professional HSE qualification (or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of H&S practices within transport, logistics, warehousing, port operations or manufacturing
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Fluent English (French is a strong advantage)
- Experience in industrial, logistics, or operational environments preferred
