Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Head – Technical Operations to lead and manage the organization’s technical infrastructure, systems operations, and service delivery functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, security, and optimal performance of the organization’s IT infrastructure, with a strong focus on cloud technologies, server administration, systems integration, and operational excellence.

The role requires a strategic technical leader who can manage cross-functional technical teams, oversee infrastructure projects, drive continuous improvement initiatives, maintain high service standards, and ensure compliance with operational and security requirements. The ideal candidate must possess strong leadership, troubleshooting, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of the organization’s IT infrastructure and technical operations environment.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure environments, including deployment, optimization, scalability, and security management.
  • Oversee server systems administration, virtualization platforms, storage systems, and network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure business continuity through proper backup management, disaster recovery planning, and system redundancy strategies.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to proactively identify and resolve operational issues.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades, patch management, system migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.

Operations & Service Delivery

  • Ensure the delivery of reliable technical support services in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and implement operational procedures, workflows, and technical standards to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Monitor incident management processes and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Drive continuous service improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Establish operational KPIs and performance metrics for infrastructure and support teams.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise technical operations teams to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Allocate tasks, manage workloads, and ensure effective coordination across technical support and infrastructure teams.
  • Promote a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning within the department.
  • Identify training needs and support the technical development of team members.

Information Security & Compliance

  • Ensure infrastructure systems comply with cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Support vulnerability management, access control management, and system security monitoring initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage security incidents and risk mitigation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and industry standards.

Project & Vendor Management

  • Lead and coordinate technical projects from planning through implementation and post-deployment support.
  • Work closely with vendors, service providers, and technology partners to ensure quality service delivery and cost-effective solutions.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements aligned with business objectives.
  • Prepare project reports, operational updates, and technical documentation for management review.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years’ progressive experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or technical operations management.
  • Proven experience managing Microsoft Azure cloud environments and enterprise server infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, networking, cybersecurity, backup systems, and enterprise applications.
  • Experience in managing technical teams and driving operational excellence.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and vendor coordination.
