Position Summary

The Head of Allianz Logistics will provide strategic leadership and executive oversight for the Group’s logistics, procurement, supply chain, transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for formulating and executing the company’s strategic direction while driving operational excellence, financial performance, business growth, and customer satisfaction across all logistics functions.

The role requires a commercially minded leader capable of identifying new business opportunities, optimizing supply chain operations, strengthening procurement strategies, improving operational efficiency, and leading high-performing multidisciplinary teams to achieve sustainable business growth.

The successful candidate will champion innovation, governance, risk management, and continuous improvement while positioning Allianz Logistics as a leading logistics and supply chain solutions provider.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

• Develop and execute the strategic vision and long-term business plans for Allianz Logistics in alignment with the LG Group’s corporate objectives.
• Drive business expansion, revenue growth, and profitability through innovative logistics and supply chain solutions.
• Identify and develop new logistics, procurement, transportation, and supply chain business opportunities.
• Develop strategic partnerships that strengthen market presence and create competitive advantage.
• Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and industry developments to position the company for sustainable growth.
• Lead business transformation initiatives that improve operational effectiveness and customer value.
• Represent Allianz Logistics in high-level commercial negotiations and strategic engagements.

Operations Management

Provide executive leadership and oversight for all operational functions, including:

• Logistics operations
• Transportation management
• Procurement
• Warehousing
• Inventory management
• Supply chain planning
• Distribution
• Vendor management
• Fleet coordination
• Service delivery

The successful candidate will:

• Ensure operational efficiency across all business functions.
• Optimize resource utilization and service delivery.

Procurement & Supply Chain Leadership

• Optimize procurement processes to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Oversee inventory management and demand planning.
• Develop supplier performance management frameworks.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with Group policies and delegated authority limits.
• Strengthen supply chain resilience through proactive risk management.
• Introduce innovative supply chain solutions that improve efficiency and customer service.

Financial & Commercial Management

• Develop annual business plans, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Drive revenue growth and maximize business profitability.
• Optimize procurement expenditure and operational costs.
• Monitor financial performance against approved targets.
• Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers, logistics partners, and service providers.
• Ensure efficient allocation of operational resources.
• Identify new revenue streams and commercial opportunities.
• Deliver sustainable shareholder value through disciplined financial management.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, regulators, strategic partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Drive customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.
• Strengthen strategic partnerships that support business growth.
• Represent the organization at executive meetings and industry engagements.
• Promote the commercial interests and reputation of Allianz Logistics and the LG Group.
• Develop customer-centric logistics solutions that enhance business performance.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

• Establish and maintain effective governance frameworks across logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, statutory regulations, and industry standards.
• Identify and mitigate operational, financial, procurement, contractual, and supply chain risks.
• Strengthen internal controls and business continuity processes.
• Support audit, compliance, and enterprise risk management initiatives.
• Promote a culture of ethical business conduct, transparency, and accountability.

People Leadership

• Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing logistics and supply chain team.
• Drive employee engagement, performance management, and leadership development.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a visionary logistics executive with extensive experience leading complex logistics, procurement, and supply chain operations at a strategic level.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial mindset and a proven ability to lead business transformation, drive operational excellence, improve financial performance, and develop sustainable logistics strategies that deliver measurable business value.

Applicants should have significant experience managing large-scale logistics operations, leading multidisciplinary teams, negotiating high-value commercial agreements, and delivering strategic business growth.

Qualifications

Education

• Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

Professional Certifications (Preferred)

Membership in one or more recognized professional bodies is highly desirable, including:

• Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS)
• Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Experience

Applicants should possess:

• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant experience in logistics, procurement, supply chain management, transportation, or related sectors.
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive management role.
• Demonstrated experience leading business development initiatives and profit centres.
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence and commercial performance.
• Strong experience in strategic procurement, logistics optimization, and supply chain transformation.
• Experience developing and implementing corporate strategy.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams in complex operational environments.
