Role Purpose

The Finance Officer will support financial control, reporting accuracy, and cash flow management by executing core accounting, compliance, and operational finance tasks. The role is essential in ensuring efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strong financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Controls

• Maintain the General Ledger and perform regular reconciliations
• Support monthly financial close processes (T+7 reporting timeline)
• Ensure accuracy of financial records and adherence to internal controls

Receivables & Payables Management

• Process invoices, collections, and supplier payments
• Monitor receivables ageing and support achievement of DSO targets
• Maintain accurate customer and vendor account records

Working Capital & Cash Flow Management

• Track daily cash positions and financial transactions
• Support cash flow forecasting and cash ladder development
• Contribute to optimizing the Cash Conversion Cycle (CCC)

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Monitor expenses against approved budgets
• Support variance analysis and cost control initiatives

Compliance & Taxation

• Prepare and support statutory filings (GRA, SSNIT, PAYE, VAT)
• Assist with internal and external audits and compliance reporting

Administrative & Operational Support

• Support procurement processes and asset tracking
• Assist with payroll administration and HR-related documentation

Qualifications & Experience

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Part qualification in ACCA or ICA is an advantage
• 1–3 years’ relevant experience in accounting or finance roles

Key Success Metrics

• Accurate and timely financial reporting (T+7)
• Achievement of DSO targets (≤14–30 days)
• Budget variance maintained within ≤5%
• Full compliance with statutory and audit requirements
• Reconciliation accuracy of ≥99%
