Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) is the premier professional marketing body in Ghana dedicated to promoting the marketing profession, advancing professional excellence, and supporting national development through strategic marketing leadership and innovation.
As part of its growth and transformation agenda, CIMG is seeking an experienced, visionary, and results-oriented professional to join its executive leadership team as Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Strategy, Transformation & Growth).
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Deputy CEO will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to drive organizational transformation, institutional growth, innovation, and long-term sustainability.
The successful candidate will support the development and execution of strategic initiatives, strengthen partnerships, improve operational performance, and position the Institute for future growth and relevance.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Organizational Growth
- Support the CEO in developing and implementing the organization’s strategic vision and transformation agenda
- Drive institutional growth initiatives and business development opportunities
- Lead strategic planning, performance monitoring, and organizational improvement processes
- Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and innovations that enhance institutional competitiveness and relevance
- Develop and implement growth strategies that strengthen stakeholder value and organizational sustainability
Transformation & Innovation
- Champion organizational transformation and modernization initiatives
- Lead process improvement and change management projects
- Promote innovation across programmes, operations, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Drive digital transformation and operational efficiency initiatives
Business Development & Partnerships
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with corporate institutions, government agencies, industry players, and international organizations
- Support revenue generation initiatives and strategic collaborations
- Identify and pursue sponsorship, partnership, and growth opportunities
Operational Oversight
- Support the CEO in overseeing organizational operations and ensuring strategic alignment across departments
- Monitor organizational performance and ensure achievement of key objectives
- Provide leadership support in policy implementation and institutional governance
- Prepare executive reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations for management and governing bodies
Stakeholder Engagement & Representation
- Represent the Institute at meetings, conferences, industry engagements, and official events when required
- Strengthen relationships with members, stakeholders, and strategic partners
- Promote the visibility, reputation, and influence of the Institute locally and internationally
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Strategy, Management, or a related field
- Professional Marketing Qualification such as:
- ProM
- DipM
- Chartered Marketer
is highly preferred
- Fully paid-up member of Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) is an advantage
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 10–15 years’ relevant professional experience
- At least 5 years’ experience at executive or senior management level
- Demonstrated success in:

- Business growth initiatives
