Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Accurately entering new information into databases, spreadsheets (like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).
• Reviewing data for discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies and correcting them as necessary.
• Preparing and sorting source documents and files for data entry processing, as well as organizing and maintaining both digital and physical data
• Handling sensitive information, such as customer records or financial data, with the utmost confidentiality.
• Retrieving specific data as requested by other departments or management and assisting in generating reports.
• Updating existing records and performing routine data backups to preserve data and prevent loss.
• Performing general administrative and clerical duties as needed, such as scanning, printing files.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Higher National Diploma (HND) or degree
• 2 years work experience as a data entry officer
• Computer literacy
• Typing proficiency
• Organizational skills:
• Confidentiality and security
