Our client in the Oil and Gas sector is seeking to recruit a dedicated Compliance Officer to ensure that our organization adheres to external regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards. The Compliance Officer will play a critical role in monitoring compliance risks, developing and implementing compliance programs, and promoting ethical conduct to safeguard the organization’s reputation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Compliance Strategy Development: Create and implement compliance strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements and organizational goals.
  • Audits and Assessments: Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with policies and regulations, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Investigations: Investigate and address compliance violations, concerns, or potential risks promptly and effectively.
  • Training and Support: Provide guidance, training, and support to employees on compliance matters, including ethics, data protection, and anti-corruption policies.
  • Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about changes to laws, regulations, and industry standards, ensuring compliance programs are updated accordingly.
  • Collaboration: Work with other departments and external stakeholders to address compliance issues, mitigate risks, and promote a culture of compliance within the organization.
  • Due Diligence: Investigate and assess the background, reputation, financial status, and regulatory compliance of potential business partners and vendors.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with scheduling software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Prior experience in an administrative role will be considered an advantage
