Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented, and experienced Business Development Officer to join our growing apparel business. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing tender and contract bidding processes, and building strategic relationships that drive sustainable revenue growth.
This role is ideal for a professional with practical experience in government procurement processes, contract acquisition, strategic sales, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities and contracts within both the public and private sectors
- Lead and manage the full tendering and bidding process for government and corporate contracts
- Monitor procurement portals, tender notices, and contract opportunities relevant to the apparel industry
- Prepare, coordinate, and submit high-quality tender documents, proposals, and bidding requirements within stipulated timelines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government institutions, NGOs, corporate organizations, and procurement stakeholders
- Develop and implement strategic business development initiatives to expand market reach and increase revenue generation
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities and industry trends
- Negotiate contract terms and close business deals to achieve organizational sales targets
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution and delivery of awarded contracts and projects
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Procurement, Sales, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience in Business Development, Sales, Tendering, or a similar role
- Strong practical knowledge of government procurement procedures and tender bidding processes
- Established network within government agencies, procurement entities, NGOs, or corporate institutions will be an added advantage
- Excellent proposal writing, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and relationship management abilities
