Job Title: Extrusion Supervisor
Department: Production – Flexible Packaging

Work Location: Poly Products Ghana (PPNIA)

Reports To: HOD

Job Mission

  • Responsible for Supervising and independently operating the machines

Principal Responsibility

  • Hands on experience on Extrusion and basic knowledge of Printing, slitting and cutting m/cs.
  • Knowledge on Materials
  • Wastage reduction
  • Basic Machine maintenance
  • Ensure daily shift goals and metrics of the Printing jobs are met with process adherence
  • Ensure printing jobs are done to approved specifications
  • Ensure quality jobs that meet customer requirement
  • Continuous and ongoing process implementation and improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Educational Qualifications

  • Technical Diploma, Degree or adequate experience in related field

Knowledge & Experience

  • Working process knowledge of Flexible packaging and printing
  • At least 8 years of experience as Operator & Supervisor in Flexible packaging factory

Key Competencies

  • Should have good polymer knowledge
  • Should know process trouble shooting
  • Should solve day to day maintenance problems
  • Expertise in lean manufacturing practices such as 5S, TPM, and Kaizens
  • Must have worked in ISO quality management system environment
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, extended hours, evenings and weekends, with little or no advance notice.
  • Preferable hands-on experience on Kabra / Macchi / Windsor / Reifenhouser / Wind Moeller & Hoelscher

Other Requirements

  • Target companies: PPL, Amcor, Uflex, Parikh, Montage

Expat Benefits

Savings Potential: $1300 – 1500 p.m. (offshore net savings shall be paid on a quarterly basis to candidate’s designated account)

Local Allowance: As per company policy paid in Local currency on monthly basis

Visa Status: Individual Status

Accommodation: Furnished company provided shared accommodation, as per policy

Transport: Company provided and maintained shared car and fuel for official purposes as per policy

Medical: At actual for treatment undertaken in Ghana for self-subject to Company Policies

Contract Period: 24 Months, mutually renewable

Leave: 30 calendar days, post competition of 12 Months

Passage: After 24 months, for Ghana-India-Ghana, on company’s choice of airline and route specified by the company for self
