About Rays of Hope Centre
Rays of Hope Centre (ROHC) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to providing welfare, shelter, and educational support to marginalized, out-of-school youth and street-connected children across major urban areas in the Greater Accra Region, including Ashaiman, Tema, and Dodowa.
Through its First Contact Place (FCP) and Welfare, Empowerment and Mobility (WEM) Centre, ROHC works to restore hope, dignity, and opportunities to vulnerable children and young people.
Position Overview
ROHC is seeking a proactive, experienced, and dynamic Administrator to oversee and coordinate the organization’s administrative and financial operations.
The successful candidate will primarily be based at the WEM Centre in Ayikuma, with regular movement between the FCP in Ashaiman and other operational sites to ensure effective administrative oversight.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial and Administrative Management
- Lead the overall administration of ROHC, including budget preparation and monitoring
- Disburse funds to centres and oversee payment of operational expenses
- Ensure transparent and accountable entry of financial transactions into the organization’s accounting system
- Prepare monthly, termly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders
- Facilitate timely payment of staff salaries, Tier 1 and Tier 2 pension contributions, PAYE to GRA, and approved bonuses
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
2. Compliance and Documentation
- Supervise visa/work permit processes and Non-Citizenship ID Card documentation for foreign workers and volunteers
- Maintain effective filing systems for staff records and legal documentation
- Safeguard organizational certificates, statutory documents, and asset registers/inventory lists
3. ICT and Systems Management
- Ensure efficient and reliable ICT infrastructure across the organization
- Provide oversight on digital tools including Google Sheets, Microsoft Office applications, and organizational software systems
4. Donations and Fundraising Support
- Register and document all monetary and non-monetary donations
- Communicate donations and acknowledgements to staff and management
- Support fundraising initiatives and project management activities
5. Communication and Collaboration
- Manage and update ROHC’s website and social media platforms
- Maintain close collaboration with FCP and WEM Centre Managers
- Support internal coordination and communication across operational units
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Planning, or a related field
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in Finance and Administration
- Experience in fundraising and project management
- Strong working knowledge of social media management, WordPress, ICT infrastructure, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Empathy for children and a strong commitment to supporting marginalized and street-connected youth
