About SafeCrop

SafeCrop works directly with cocoa farming communities to strengthen cooperatives, support sustainable agricultural practices, and improve farmer livelihoods. We believe agriculture can be a powerful driver of community prosperity and resilience.

We are looking for motivated and community-oriented Project Officers to support field activities and work closely with cocoa farmers and cooperatives across our operational communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of agricultural and community development activities within assigned communities.
  • Build strong working relationships with farmers, cooperatives, and local stakeholders.
  • Conduct field visits and assist with farmer training, monitoring, and data collection activities.
  • Support cooperative strengthening initiatives and sustainable farming programs.
  • Assist in organizing community meetings, workshops, and sensitization programs.
  • Prepare field reports and maintain accurate project records and documentation.
  • Monitor farmer participation and provide feedback to the Project Lead.
  • Identify field challenges and communicate recommendations for improvement.
  • Promote SafeCrop’s values of partnership, collaboration, and community engagement.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in agriculture, NGO, or community-based projects is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage respectfully with farming communities.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.
  • Ability to ride a motorbike and possession of a valid rider’s license is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work in rural communities within Assin Fosu or Tepa.
