Role Overview

The Data Analyst is a strategic, performance-driven role responsible for advancing data analytics, performance monitoring, and evidence-based decision-making across all business units.

The successful candidate will lead the development of integrated data systems, generate actionable insights, and support leadership in driving operational efficiency, improved client outcomes, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Systems & Architecture

  • Design and manage integrated data systems across Centers, Social Marketing, and Public Sector Strengthening (PSS).
  • Oversee data integration from multiple platforms (e.g., DHIS2, Kobo, ERP systems).
  • Maintain data governance standards, including documentation and compliance.
  • Drive automation and system improvements to enhance analytics capabilities.

2. Data Quality Management

  • Lead organization-wide data quality assessments and improvement initiatives.
  • Establish and enforce standards for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Build staff capacity on data systems and promote accountability in data usage.

3. Advanced Analytics & Insights

  • Conduct trend, segmentation, and performance analyses to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Develop automated dashboards and reporting tools for leadership use.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)

  • Design and implement MEL frameworks across programs.
  • Develop and track KPIs aligned with organizational and donor priorities.
  • Produce high-quality donor reports and performance evaluations.
  • Capture and share lessons learned to support continuous improvement.

5. Cross-Functional Support

  • Partner with program and operational teams to improve performance using data insights.
  • Standardize reporting tools and dashboards across departments.
  • Train and mentor staff on data literacy and analytics tools.
  • Promote a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Key Performance Areas

  • Centers: Revenue, client volume, operational performance
  • Social Marketing: Sales, revenue, and market performance
  • PSS: Facility performance, reporting quality, and client outcomes

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or a related field
  • Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Public Health, or related discipline (preferred)
  • Professional certification in Power BI, SQL, Advanced Excel, DHIS2, or similar tools
  • Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or MEL
  • Experience in healthcare, NGO, or development sector is an advantage
