Job Objective

The Underwriting Administrator will be responsible for processing underwriting transactions within established service standards while ensuring prudent underwriting practices within delegated authority limits. The role also supports customer service delivery and operational efficiency in alignment with Hollard’s business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process motor and non-motor underwriting transactions within defined service standards and authorization limits.
  • Manage policy renewals, including cancellations, within established timelines.
  • Provide quotations for new and renewal insurance policies based on prescribed rates.
  • Issue insurance policies and supporting documents as evidence of insurance cover.
  • Prepare and send renewal notices to clients ahead of policy expiration dates.
  • Conduct claims verification and forward the required documentation to the claims department.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation to ensure easy retrieval of records.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from Hollard2U outlets, brokers, and direct clients while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Process returns from Hollard2U and other agents and issue relevant certificates.
  • Ensure proper filing and return of facing sheets with records of electronically generated receipt numbers.
  • Support agents in promoting and selling Hollard insurance products where required.
  • Prepare and submit accurate weekly and monthly operational reports.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Diploma in Insurance from WAII or GIC is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 1–3 years’ relevant experience in underwriting or insurance operations.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Good understanding of commercial and personal line insurance policies.
  • Strong communication skills, including writing and presentation.
  • Customer-focused with strong relationship management abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
