About the Role
Elixir Audits is seeking an experienced and highly capable Audit Senior Manager to lead audit engagements from planning through to the issuance of signed audit opinions. The successful candidate will provide strong technical leadership, oversee engagement teams, ensure compliance with applicable auditing and financial reporting standards, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s audit practice.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for an audit professional who is ready to take on greater responsibility, work directly with clients and partners, develop high-performing audit teams, and progress toward an Associate Director role.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Engagement Leadership
- Lead audit engagements from initial planning through fieldwork, review, completion, and issuance of signed audit opinions.
- Develop and execute effective audit strategies and engagement plans.
- Ensure audit engagements are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Manage multiple engagements and prioritize competing deadlines effectively.
Audit Quality & Technical Review
- Review audit working papers to ensure compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and applicable IFRS requirements.
- Provide technical guidance on complex accounting and auditing matters.
- Ensure appropriate audit documentation, evidence, conclusions, and reporting are maintained.
- Identify engagement risks and ensure appropriate audit procedures are performed to address them.
- Maintain high professional and ethical standards throughout the audit process.
Team & Engagement Management
- Manage, supervise, and coordinate audit engagement teams.
- Review the work of Audit Seniors, Associates, and other team members.
- Coach and develop associates and audit seniors through regular feedback and on-the-job training.
- Allocate resources effectively and monitor team performance.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and significant matters clearly to management and senior client representatives.
- Participate in meetings with boards, audit committees, and senior management where required.
- Provide practical insights and recommendations that add value beyond statutory audit requirements.
Practice Development
- Contribute to the growth and development of the firm’s audit practice.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and support business development initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of audit methodologies, processes, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support partners and leadership in strategic client and practice matters.
What You Bring
- ICAG or ACCA qualification.
- Proven experience leading audit engagements from start to finish.
- Strong command of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and IFRS.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and supervising the work of other audit professionals.
- Strong understanding of audit planning, risk assessment, internal controls, financial reporting, and audit completion procedures.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
- Confidence communicating with senior management and board-level stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
- Ability to manage engagement budgets, deadlines, and multiple priorities effectively.

You should be comfortable taking ownership of complex engagements, making sound professional judgments, coaching team members, and interacting confidently with senior-level clients.
You should also demonstrate a clear ambition to progress into a broader leadership role, with the potential to advance toward Associate Director.
