Job Description

The Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, and presentable environment within the Council’s offices and premises.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain offices, workspaces, corridors, washrooms, and other designated areas.
  • Sweep, mop, dust, polish, and sanitise assigned areas.
  • Empty waste bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
  • Clean office furniture, windows, doors, and other surfaces as required.
  • Ensure washrooms and common areas are properly maintained and hygienic.
  • Replenish cleaning and sanitation supplies when necessary.
  • Report damaged facilities, equipment, or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and appropriately.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by management.

Expected Profile

Applicants should be reliable, hardworking, disciplined, physically capable of performing cleaning duties, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage.
