About the Project

We are recruiting experienced and motivated Enumerators to support a large-scale ground verification survey across the Ashanti Region of Ghana. This important project will generate reliable field data to help assess the viability of scaling up the adoption of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) as a clean cooking fuel for households and businesses.

The data collected will support our client’s efforts to promote sustainable energy solutions, reduce dependence on solid biomass fuels such as charcoal and firewood, and contribute to Ghana’s clean energy transition.

Position Summary

As an Enumerator, you will be responsible for conducting field visits to residential and commercial properties within assigned communities to collect, verify, and update survey information using electronic data collection tools.

You will work closely with a field supervision team to ensure that all information collected is accurate, complete, and submitted within project timelines while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

• Conducting field surveys across assigned communities within the Ashanti Region.
• Collecting accurate data on residential and commercial buildings using tablets or smartphones.
• Verifying and updating existing building and location information in the field.
• Recording survey responses electronically using approved digital data collection applications.
• Ensuring all collected data is complete, accurate, and submitted within project deadlines.
• Following established survey methodologies, data collection protocols, and quality assurance procedures.
• Working collaboratively with supervisors and fellow enumerators to achieve daily field targets.
• Reporting challenges encountered during fieldwork and providing timely updates to supervisors.
• Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with respondents.
• Ensuring proper care and handling of project equipment throughout the assignment.
• Adhering to all health, safety, and ethical guidelines during field activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Previous experience as an Enumerator, Field Officer, Data Collector, Research Assistant, or in a similar field-based role.
• Residence within the Ashanti Region (strongly preferred).
• Ability and willingness to travel within assigned districts and communities.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital data collection applications.
• Basic digital literacy and the ability to learn new mobile data collection tools quickly.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a field team.
• Good physical stamina and willingness to spend extended periods conducting fieldwork.
• High levels of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
