Reports To: Managing Director
Job Purpose
The Business Development & Market Entry Services Manager supports the delivery of business development and market entry services to French, Francophone, and Ghanaian companies. The role contributes to trade facilitation, client relationship management, project coordination, and the successful execution of market entry assignments under the supervision of the Managing Director.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development
- Identify and research potential B2B opportunities for CCIFG member companies, including joint ventures, technology transfer, capacity building, knowledge sharing, and financing opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and key accounts.
- Network with prospective partners, clients, and industry stakeholders to facilitate business growth.
- Support the preparation of business proposals, contracts, agreements, and contract administration.
- Coordinate project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of client engagements.
- Gather and analyze client, market, and competitor information.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients and internal stakeholders.
- Support the development of corporate and institutional partnerships.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective partners and third-party service providers.
- Identify partnership opportunities under the direction of the Managing Director.
- Achieve revenue targets by identifying and closing business opportunities.
- Prepare research and preliminary analyses to support investment advisory services.
2. Market Entry Services
- Identify and assess market access barriers and advise companies on business opportunities in Ghana.
- Coordinate the delivery of market entry services, including:
- Prospection missions
- Company registration
- Due diligence
- Business contact lists
- Product and service testing
- Assist French public and private sector companies seeking to bid for tenders in Ghana.
- Promote viable investment opportunities in procurement.
- Monitor and update internal databases with tender opportunities from:
- Ghana Public Procurement Authority (PPA)
- European Union
- World Bank
- Other multilateral organizations
- Collect, summarize, and update business information in both French and English relating to:
- Business establishment
- Import and export procedures
- Customs tariffs
- Develop and update:
- Country fact sheets
- Sector fact sheets
- Ghana trade infographics
- Trade data
- Share relevant market intelligence with Business France, the Economic Department of the Embassy of France, CCI France International, and other affiliated chambers.
- Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator to update the organization’s website with market information.
- Screen and respond to market entry enquiries from companies.
- Support the planning and delivery of market entry programs, seminars, and webinars.
3. Training & Business Development
- Support the implementation of strategies to grow CCIFG’s professional training portfolio.
- Achieve annual revenue and profitability targets for training services.
- Engage member companies and prospective clients to identify training needs.
- Increase enrollment in open professional training programs.
- Develop sector-specific training programs in areas such as:
- Human Resources
- Finance
- Sales
- ESG
- Digital Skills
- Project Management
- Procurement
- Build partnerships with industry experts, training institutions, universities, and organizations in Ghana and France.
- Identify funding opportunities for TVET projects and grants.
- Promote executive leadership programs in Ghana and France.
- Recruit executives for international leadership development programs.
- Coordinate executive study tours and learning missions.
4. Facility Management (Office & Training Hall Rentals)
- Develop and implement commercial strategies for office rental services.
- Increase occupancy rates of Le Booster offices.
- Identify and convert prospective tenants.
- Manage rental enquiries, property viewings, and tenancy agreements.
- Coordinate tenant onboarding and monitor tenant satisfaction.
- Promote Le Booster training halls.
- Coordinate reservations with the Administration team.
- Manage training hall schedules to maximize utilization.
- Develop customized rental packages for training facilities.
5. CSR / ESG
- Develop CSR and ESG initiatives for CCIFG.
- Lead the implementation and execution of CSR and ESG programs.
6. Other Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategic planning and development of departmental objectives.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications & Experience
- French national (resident in Ghana) or Ghanaian.
- Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken).
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Management, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience using project management and CRM tools such as Slack, Trello, Odoo, and Salesforce.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in sales, marketing, or business development.
- Knowledge of the Franco-Ghanaian business environment, trade and investment ecosystem, industry trends, and regulatory frameworks is an advantage.
- Experience developing and executing international business development and market entry strategies.
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and financial management skills.
- Highly proactive, reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently while meeting deadlines and collaborating effectively within a team.
