As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the company’s financial integrity by managing accounting records, preparing financial reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting sound financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining accurate financial records and recording all accounting transactions.
  • Preparing monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and management reports.
  • Processing invoices, supplier payments, and employee expense claims accurately and promptly.
  • Monitoring departmental budgets and helping control operational costs.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and statutory filing requirements.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits by maintaining complete and accurate financial documentation.
  • Reconciling bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
  • Preparing journal entries and maintaining the general ledger.
  • Supporting payroll processing and ensuring timely financial reporting.
  • Assisting in budget preparation, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Ensuring compliance with company financial policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Performing any other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting certification (ACCA, ICA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls.
  • Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
