The company is seeking highly motivated, disciplined, physically fit, and safety-conscious individuals to join its harvesting team as Tally and Tagging Clerks.

Job Summary

The successful candidates will be responsible for accurately measuring, recording, tallying, and tagging timber products generated during harvesting operations.

The role requires a high level of accuracy, integrity, diligence, and commitment to safety, as the information recorded will support production monitoring, inventory control, and operational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all assigned duties with the highest level of safety, care, and diligence.
  • Accurately measure logs and other timber products in accordance with established specifications.
  • Ensure measurements are taken at the correct points and using the appropriate procedures for each timber product.
  • Record accurate measurements and production information.
  • Maintain proper tally records for all timber products handled.
  • Apply and maintain accurate tagging information for harvested timber and related products.
  • Verify that product records, measurements, and tags correspond correctly.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Report discrepancies, damaged tags, measurement concerns, or other irregularities to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Provide reliable measurement and production data to support harvesting and operational activities.
  • Work closely with supervisors and other members of the harvesting team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow all company policies, operational procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Eligibility and Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Have a minimum of Junior High School (JHS) education or equivalent.
  • Have previous experience in forestry, logging, timber harvesting, production, measurement, or a related field; this will be an advantage.
  • Possess a valid Ghana Card.
  • Possess a valid NHIS Card.
  • Have a valid SSNIT Number.
  • Be physically fit and capable of working in challenging outdoor environments.
