IJM Ghana partners with Ghanaian government agencies to tackle human trafficking by rescuing victims, ensuring perpetrator accountability, restoring survivors to safety and strength, and supporting public justice actors to strengthen systems that protect the vulnerable.
The Need
For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking an Office Administrator, Ghana (Kumasi), to oversee day-to-day business operations of Kumasi operations centre. This position is a full-time position and requires occasional travel to other regions in Ghana.
This position is based in Kumasi, Ghana and reports Project Manager, Ghana (Kumasi).
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day business operations of Kumasi Operations Centre, including maintenance and procurement activities;
- Coordinate transport and other logistics for program activities, such as field work, internal events, and external events;
- Assist Kumasi team with administrative support and ensure access to Finance, IT, and HR support from Hub (Accra);
- Oversee and ensure security and cleaning services. Serve as primary point of contact for Hub (Accra) safety/security personnel;
- Good steward of IJM resources and assets at all times; and
- Demonstrate IJM’s core values and spiritual rhythms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred;
- At least one year’s experience providing administrative support;
- Two years’ experience working with vendors, contractors, or corporate clients;
- Strong computer skills (can quickly master business applications like Workday); and
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships;
- Must be based in Kumasi or willing to relocate to Kumasi at their own expense.

- What is a statement of faith?
A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM. The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document which should not more than a page, and should include, at a minimum, a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer, study, etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.
