Are you an experienced operations leader with a strong background in LPG distribution, fuel logistics, or FMCG supply chain operations? Do you have the expertise to lead high-performing teams, optimize last-mile delivery, and ensure safe, efficient distribution operations?
Our client, a growing player in Ghana’s energy sector, is seeking a highly motivated LPG Operations Manager to oversee its end-to-end last-mile LPG distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee daily LPG distribution and last-mile delivery operations.
- Manage fleet operations, dispatch activities, route planning, and delivery scheduling to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Supervise field teams, including drivers, supervisors, and safety personnel, while driving high performance and accountability.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transport partners, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with LPG safety regulations, hazardous goods handling standards, and company HSE policies.
- Monitor operational performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Optimize operational efficiency, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction while minimizing operational costs.
- Prepare operational reports and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience in operations management, with at least 5 years’ experience in LPG distribution, fuel logistics, or FMCG logistics.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience managing last-mile distribution, fleet operations, dispatch, routing, and delivery optimization.
- Strong understanding of LPG safety standards, hazardous goods regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong analytical skills with experience monitoring operational KPIs such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), fleet performance, and operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management systems is an advantage.
Compensation & Benefits
- Net Monthly Salary: GHS 5,000 – GHS 9,000 (based on qualifications and experience)
