1. Assistant Legal Officer / Legal Officer / Senior Legal Officer
Provides legal advisory services to University Management and Council, drafts and reviews contracts, ensures compliance with relevant laws and regulations, manages litigation and dispute resolution, advises on employment, procurement and intellectual property matters, and supports institutional governance. The role requires qualified lawyers with progressively increasing post-call legal experience.
2. Junior Assistant Registrar / Assistant Registrar / Senior Assistant Registrar / Deputy Registrar – Human Resource Management
Responsible for managing recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, staff welfare, training and development, personnel records, policy implementation, and HR reporting. The role supports effective workforce planning, ensures compliance with labour laws, and contributes to developing a productive and high-performing University workforce.
3. Junior Assistant Registrar / Assistant Registrar / Senior Assistant Registrar / Deputy Registrar – General Administration
Supports the University’s administrative functions by coordinating daily operations, managing records and correspondence, organizing meetings, implementing policies, preparing institutional reports, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with University regulations. The role contributes to efficient governance and smooth institutional administration.
4. Junior Assistant Registrar / Assistant Registrar / Senior Assistant Registrar / Deputy Registrar – Guidance and Counselling
Provides professional counselling services to students and staff, promotes mental health and wellbeing, develops counselling programmes, manages crisis interventions, maintains confidential records, coordinates referrals, and supports student welfare initiatives. The role also contributes to developing counselling policies and awareness programmes across the University.
5. Head of University Security
Leads the University’s security operations by developing security policies, supervising security personnel, coordinating emergency response plans, conducting risk assessments, managing surveillance systems, investigating security incidents, and collaborating with law enforcement agencies. The role ensures a safe, secure, and well-protected learning and working environment.
6. Engineer / Senior Engineer / Principal Engineer / Chief Engineer – Electrical
Responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and supervising the University’s electrical infrastructure and engineering projects. The position oversees maintenance programmes, contractor performance, project budgeting, energy efficiency initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, and compliance with engineering standards while providing technical leadership for institutional development.
7. Clerk of Works
Monitors and supervises construction, renovation, and maintenance projects to ensure compliance with approved specifications, engineering standards, and contractual requirements. The role maintains site records, verifies completed work, coordinates contractors, reports project progress, and supports quality assurance throughout infrastructure development projects.
8. Senior Administrative Assistant
Provides administrative and secretarial support through records management, correspondence handling, meeting coordination, document preparation, filing systems management, and office administration. The role also supports digitization of institutional records and ensures efficient administrative operations across departments and directorates.
9. Accounting Assistant
Supports the University’s finance function by processing financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, managing petty cash, assisting payroll administration, supporting budgeting activities, and facilitating audit exercises while ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
10. Driver
Provides safe and reliable transportation services for University staff, officials, and authorised passengers while maintaining assigned vehicles in good working condition. The role includes vehicle inspections, logbook management, document delivery, compliance with road safety regulations, and supporting the University’s transport operations efficiently.
11. Lecturer
Delivers high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching through lectures, tutorials, seminars, and laboratory sessions while developing course materials and supervising student research. The role also involves conducting research, publishing scholarly work, securing research grants, mentoring students, participating in academic governance, and contributing to community engagement and professional consultancy.
12. Senior Lecturer
Provides advanced teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels while leading curriculum development, supervising postgraduate research, conducting impactful research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and attracting research funding. The role also includes mentoring junior academics, supporting programme accreditation, participating in University governance, and promoting community engagement and professional excellence.
13. Associate Professor
Provides academic leadership by driving excellence in teaching, research, and innovation within the University. The role involves supervising postgraduate research, leading funded research projects, publishing high-impact scholarly work, developing academic programmes, mentoring academic staff, serving on governance committees, and representing the University at national and international academic forums.
14. Professor
Provides strategic leadership in teaching, research, and academic development while shaping the University’s academic direction. The role leads postgraduate education, supervises doctoral research, secures major research grants, develops curricula, chairs governance committees, mentors academic staff, builds international collaborations, and advances the University’s reputation through outstanding scholarly contributions.
