Job Summary

We are a fast-growing FMCG company in the food and beverage sector, importing and distributing high quality 100% juice, energy drinks, sparkling juice, rice, vegetable oil, pasta, and confectioneries brands. We are looking for an experienced, results-driven Sales Executive to grow our market presence and drive sales across Kumasi and Accra. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sales professional with strong local market knowledge, an existing network of trade contacts, and a proven track record in FMCG food and beverage sales across multiple product categories.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets in Kumasi and Accra.

Drive sales across the full product portfolio, including 100% juice, energy drinks, sparkling juice, rice, vegetable oil, pasta, and confectioneries.

Identify, prospect, and onboard new retail outlets, wholesalers, distributors, supermarkets, and HORECA (hotels, restaurants, catering) customers.

Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business and brand loyalty.

Conduct regular market visits and route plans across Kumasi and Accra to monitor product availability, visibility, and competitor activity.

Ensure proper merchandising, product placement, and brand visibility at point-of-sale locations.

Negotiate trade terms, pricing, and promotional support within approved company guidelines.

Monitor stock levels at distributor and retail points to prevent stock-outs and overstocking.

Collect and report market intelligence, including competitor pricing, new product launches, and customer feedback.

Prepare and submit accurate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to management.

Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly to maintain strong trade relationships.

Support the planning and execution of promotional activities, product launches, and trade marketing campaigns.

Ensure timely collection of payments and manage customer accounts within agreed credit terms.

Requirements & Qualifications

A minimum of HND/Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

3–5 years of proven sales experience within the FMCG food and beverage industry (experience with beverages, packaged foods, staples like rice/oil/pasta, or confectioneries strongly preferred).

Must have excellent, demonstrable knowledge of Kumasi and Accra, including key trade routes, markets, retail outlets, and distribution channels.

Must currently reside in Kumasi or Accra.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be comfortable with extensive daily travel within and between both cities.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.

Good understanding of trade marketing, merchandising, and route-to-market principles.

Must be well versed in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for sales reporting, proposals, and presentations.

Must be abreast with modern sales and marketing tools and apps (e.g. CRM platforms, mobile sales reporting/route-to-market apps, digital marketing and social media tools).

Ability to build and maintain strong, lasting business relationships with customers and distributors.

Valid Ghana Card and other relevant identification documents.

Compensation & Benefits

Negotiable base salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Performance-based commission on sales targets achieved.

SSNIT contributions as required by law.
