Job Description
UNICEF Ghana is seeking a Planning Officer to provide technical support in programme planning, monitoring, UN coordination, and knowledge management. The role contributes to strengthening evidence-based planning and delivery of results for children across Ghana, aligned with national priorities and the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF).
Key Responsibilities
- Support development, monitoring, and reporting of Annual Work Plans and microplans
- Coordinate planning and reporting for UNSDCF commitments (including UN INFO)
- Contribute to country programme reviews and implementation monitoring (incl. DCTs)
- Strengthen national and sectoral planning systems in collaboration with partners
- Drive knowledge management, including use of evaluations, surveys, and best practices
Required Profile
- Education: Master’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, Data Science, Planning/M&E, Development Studies, Statistics, or related field
- Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant professional experience (planning, monitoring, data/knowledge management)
- Languages: Fluent English (required)

Volunteer Living Allowance: currently US$ 2,750 to US$ 3,200
UN Volunteers serve full-time in their professional expertise, supported by a benefits package, including a monthly living allowance to ensure a secure standard of living at their duty stations. These allowances are not intended as compensation, reward, or salary for the volunteer’s service.
