Purpose of the Role
The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for the design, operation, security, and continuous evolution of
the organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure it is reliable, scalable, and aligned with business needs. The
role oversees networks, systems, data centers, and cloud environments, ensuring high availability,
performance, and resilience of all platforms. It drives infrastructure strategy, enforces cybersecurity and
risk management practices, and ensures compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
Through strong leadership, vendor management, and continuous improvement, the role ensures that the IT
backbone effectively supports current operations and future growth.

Key Accountabilities
Infrastructure Strategy, Architecture & Business Alignment

  • Define and drive the infrastructure strategy and roadmap aligned with business growth and
    enterprise architecture
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable infrastructure
    solutions
  • Lead development of infrastructure business cases, including cost, risk, and impact analysis
  • Provide technical leadership and governance across all infrastructure projects
  • Ensure infrastructure supports overall business objectives, policies, and operating models

Operations, Service Delivery & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure availability, performance, and reliability of networks, systems, data centers, and cloud
    environments
  • Oversee infrastructure support services aligned with ITIL (Incident, Problem, and Request
    Management)
  • Monitor service performance (uptime, latency, resolution time) and drive continuous improvement
  • Manage WLAN, WAN, VPN, server environments, and communications infrastructure
  • Ensure data protection, backup integrity, disaster recovery, and business continuity readiness
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of recurring infrastructure issues
  • Maintain accurate system configurations, architecture diagrams, and operational documentation

Governance, Security, Vendors & Leadership

  • Enforce compliance with IT policies, security frameworks, and industry standards
  • Ensure all infrastructure changes follow formal change and configuration management processes
  • Manage vendors, telecom providers, and service partners to ensure SLA adherence and
    performance
  • Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance reviews
  • Drive infrastructure security through monitoring, audits, and continuous improvement
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the infrastructure team, ensuring strong capability and performance
  • Oversee infrastructure-related reporting, risk management, and audit readiness
  • Ensure infrastructure services are delivered within budget and aligned to business priorities

Key Requirements – Qualifications, Experience, Skills etc.:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related
    field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in IT infrastructure management or similar role
  • Strong expertise in networking (LAN, WAN), systems (Windows/Unix), cloud infrastructure, and
    data centers
  • Proven experience in IT operations management, infrastructure projects, and vendor management
  • Solid understanding of IT service management (ITIL) and security best practices
  • Ability to assess risks, anticipate incidents, and ensure system resilience
  • Strong leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong communication skills and business acumen
