Position Title: Relationship Manager – Corporate
Reports to: Head, Corporate
Location: Head Office, Accra

Role Purpose:  The Corporate Relationship Manager is responsible for driving sustainable growth and profitability within CalBank’s corporate banking portfolio through strategic relationship management, proactive business development, and disciplined risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain call plans for all customers ensuring regular and sustained contact with customers.
  • Maintain a well-developed working knowledge of complete line of corporate products and services offered, taking responsibility to keep up-to-date and request assistance for further development of needs
  • Proactively initiate sales and cross sell full range of corporate banking products and services to existing and prospective customers
  • Negotiate with clients and submit proposals for concessionary pricing on assets, liabilities and non-funded income to Executive Management for approval.
  • Promote excellent customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanour, can do attitude and willingness to help at all times.
  • Engage with customers to discuss financial needs and make recommendations
  • Review and analyse financial reports and documents submitted by clients for credit requests.
  • Deal with customers’ complaints and problems with a view to finding working solutions to the issues
  • Research industry sectors within the portfolio and determine potential business prospects and associated risk. Such information should be made available on the intra department network.

  • Net Interest Income (NII) generation
  • Non-funded income growth (Fees & Commissions)
  • Other income generation (Trade, FX, Transaction Banking)
  • Credit Portfolio Quality & Risk Management
  • Portfolio quality maintained within approved risk thresholds
  • Quality of credit structuring and monitoring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or any relevant field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
