Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Logistics Officer with strong fleet management experience to join our growing operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, managing company fleet operations, ensuring vehicle efficiency, and supporting smooth day-to-day logistics processes.
This role requires a professional who can effectively oversee fleet utilization, monitor vehicle maintenance schedules, coordinate drivers, optimize operational efficiency, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the company’s fleet operations on a daily basis
- Coordinate vehicle movement, dispatch schedules, and transportation activities
- Monitor fleet performance, fuel consumption, servicing, and maintenance schedules
- Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy, properly documented, and compliant with regulations
- Track fleet activities and provide accurate operational reports to management
- Coordinate drivers and ensure adherence to assigned routes and schedules
- Handle logistics planning and support efficient delivery operations
- Monitor and reduce operational downtime through effective planning
- Maintain proper records of fleet operations, repairs, insurance, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and company operational standards
- Support operational improvements and recommend cost-effective logistics solutions
Requirements
- Proven experience in fleet management and logistics operations
- Strong coordination, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively track, monitor, and manage fleet operations
- Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and reporting systems
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational tasks
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, or a related field is an advantage
