Job Description

Are you a highly organized and proactive professional with a proven background in fleet and driver management? We are seeking a Transport Manager with hands-on experience in the engineering and construction industry to oversee our logistics and transport operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective coordination, maintenance, and utilization of the company’s fleet, while ensuring the safe, timely, and cost-efficient delivery of equipment, materials, and personnel across multiple project sites.


🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all transport activities including vehicle scheduling, routing, and dispatch for project execution.
  • Manage the company’s fleet of trucks, pickups, vans, and heavy-duty equipment used across various sites.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, discipline, and performance of drivers and transport personnel.
  • Ensure all vehicles are well-maintained, roadworthy, and compliant with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Track fuel usage, maintenance costs, and implement cost-control measures to optimize fleet performance.
  • Maintain accurate transport logs, documentation, and reports for fleet movements, incidents, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with site managers, procurement, and logistics teams to align transport operations with project timelines.
  • Respond to emergencies, delays, or breakdowns and ensure swift resolution to minimize disruption.
  • Develop and enforce transport policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

🎓 Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in transport/fleet management, preferably within the engineering, construction, or logistics sector.
  • Proven ability to manage large fleets, drivers, and route planning effectively in a project-based environment.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance schedules, safety compliance, and transport regulations.
