Job Summary

MPower Ventures is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Technical Associate to support the implementation, quality assurance, and after-sales service of solar solutions across Ghana.

Reporting to the Country Manager (with a dotted reporting line to the Head of Engineering), the successful candidate will provide hands-on technical support, assist with installations, ensure quality standards are met, and deliver responsive customer service. The role requires strong collaboration with internal teams to ensure efficient project execution and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Support & Project Implementation

  • Support and co-lead the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems
  • Prepare technical drawings and installation documentation
  • Assist in planning and executing installation projects
  • Diagnose faulty components and carry out repairs or recommend appropriate solutions

2. Quality Assurance & Client Engagement

  • Conduct quality checks on installations, products, and service delivery
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents and submissions
  • Engage with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance

3. Sales Support & Customer Service

  • Participate in sales and promotional events
  • Provide timely and effective after-sales support
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

4. General Duties

  • Provide support across teams as required
  • Perform additional duties in line with job expectations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Solar Engineering, or a related field (or relevant technical diploma)
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in solar PV installation, technical support, or strong internship experience
  • Solid understanding of solar energy systems, installation processes, and maintenance

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills in solar systems
  • Basic knowledge of project implementation and site assessment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Familiarity with solar design tools and software is an advantage
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Certification from the Energy Commission or Engineering Council of Ghana is an added advantage
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability
